No it’s probably because the level of competition at ORD is higher than SFO or EWR and therefore brings down the RPM. Solution, move the international flying to those bases and protect ORD with the 787, a lower cost airplane.
Just speculation and there are zero indications of parking 777 (A). In fact the rumors of looking for more of them are common.
