The hogan, the interview, and then a final HR review that would take place approximately 2-3 months before your potential class date with United. There were clearly defined things in the CPP agreement you had to keep off your employment record to pass the final review: training failures, unexcused sick calls during specific times (holidays, vacations, training, etc), UTCs, and a few other items. There were 10-20 individuals who passed the hogan, interview, and had none of the red flags specified in the agreement that should have prevented them from passing the final review who were then turned down with no explanation. Some of those people had been waiting around in the pool for over a year. If you'd like an analogy, imagine taking a check ride that you know all of the standards and requirements for before beginning the ride. You complete every maneuver within standards and then go into the debriefing room and are informed you didn't pass the check ride. No explanation as to why. That's basically what happened to 10-20 of the applicants. It's not like it's a rumor. It's been confirmed by ALPO and possibly maybe even the XJT CPP "liaison".
Ah - didn’t realize they were hired into the pool and passed up by everyone else put into the pool after, and never given a class date. That would be messed up.
