Our training bust rates are high and scheduling being under the gun routinely disables our mixed 121 and 117 duty time limit flags and sends you off on your merry way. Then they self disclose to the FAA after you block out. You now have a violation on your record. The word is we have over 100 pilots during the last 6 months in that pickle. Try explaining that in a Delta or FedEx interview if you even get an interview. Congrats, you’ve now become an unwitting Atlas lifer.

AAWH is not a resume builder, it’s a career killer.
The problem you have is that this is true for some. The pilots coming to Atlas without the PIC are dooming themselves to possibly even being in the right seat with a break up of the company in 10 years. You are correct that if you have zero PIC it's a horrible career move. You will get stuck with a miserable career.

BUT... Those who have the degree and the PIC are adding something onto their resume that's very desirable for FedEx and UPS. Applicants aren't stupid and know this.

I agree that people should stop accepting jobs there following the last ruling but the reality is that as long as it sends pilots to UPS and FedEx that they will keep showing up for classes. SOME of those that are showing up for classes are personally justified in doing so IF a Boeing Type makes them immediately competitive for UPS, FedEx or even Delta.
