Imagine that you hired a contractor to remodel the bathroom. Then, the contractor starts acting like it’s his house. He changes the locks, or tries to dictate who and/or under what circumstances family members get to enter your house. Then, he throws shade when you point out the entitled attitude.

You may value the work that the contractor does, and you may even throw in some extra benefits for a job well done. However, the contractor sure as hell isn’t family, and doesn’t get a say in how the house runs.

It may be your metal, and AA pilots are happy to go with industry standard regarding the own metal rule, but as long as that metal says American Eagle on the side you bring nothing to the table mandating reciprocity. Tell the Rev. to get you some Republic Airlines routes...then you can talk about reciprocity.

Delta and American have reciprocity because the each bring their own assets (routes) to the table. SWA and American have reciprocity because they each bring their own asset to the table. You bring AA it’s own asset and start making demands at the table. Why don’t you try to sell me my own car while you’re at it.
I respect your opinion. You will no longer get the priority for the Jumpseat you had on YX up to this point. You are D6. We are D6. Nothing changes on our end. It changes on yours. Who is the entitled here? AA pilots who claim they own the JS on YX and we bring nothing to the table. You are the ones upset over the change. We have been living with this for years. At least the jumpseat agreement is now reciprocal and fair for both sides. Status quo is perfectly fine with me.
