I think the problem is in AA's talent acquisition department. The name alone should've set off alarm bells and at the very least warranted about 40 different background checks/constant surveillance.
The guy was hired more than a decade prior to 9/11...
Interestingly enough he also worked for Alaska during a ten year stretch while also employed at AA, and Alaska stated apparently he was clocked in at both companies at the same time on some days.
