Time on reserve will probably be less, so yes it is the best choice. Base choice will influence time on reserve.
Disclaimer: I don't have any stats to support that, just an impression based on type seniority and number of aircraft by type. Flight time and pay are generally always higher for a line holder, if that is what you want.
