We are getting into the weeds now. WestJet is a Canadian LCC that has just started launching long haul routes. That business decision risk is up to their management team and BOD. Delta is the largest carrier across the Atlantic. You can’t expect Delta to grow the same as a start up Long Haul LCC. Stating WestJet bought 6 787s so we should by 24 is silly and economically unfeasible. Moreover, Delta bought 15 A350s and 35 330neos(which deliveries have been accelerated) as fleet renewal and growth. The only thing our Scope language protects with Westjet is our flying between the US and Canada.
