Well on Christmas Day I got the job of standing by the cockpit door during deplaning and thanking people for flying xyz airline, etc. Well...near the end of the pax parade I notice my old sim partner's wife and kid (and they recognized me as well). Turns out they were meeting up with my sim partner and flying to see his parents for Christmas. We had a pleasant chat and I got to give my first cockpit tour ever to his son (I'm not sure who had more fun on the tour...me or him...I love it when a kid asks to see the cockpit and sit in the CA's chair)

Another time, I ran into a person I used to flight instruct with as we were walking down the terminal. We work for different regionals but recognized each other. Aviation really is a small world!
