The drawdown was supposedly associated with the construction in LGA, although in practice AE flying decreased very little - they just shifted most of ours to Republic. Theoretically, as more and more gates are put in service at LGA, the flying will expand to fill them. That said, Envoy is not above dumping hundreds of unnecessary FOs into NYC to sit on reserve and do nothing. Ask me how I know.
This is incorrect the drawdown was due to republic taking a lot of our LGA flying, but that was in preparation for growth at JFK starting when they reopen the runway in November. Why the two didn’t line up I don’t know. We’re also parking some 140s so that could be the reason we couldn’t cover all the LGA flying.
