The a350 captain green slip party that occurred for a few months earlier this year and the pilots making statements that several captains were going to make “a million” dollars this year will definitely hurt us. First off, if you run the numbers I really don’t think any pilots made a million dollars but if they did, it was a very small few. The problem is that so many flight attendants and other employees think it’s true and paint all of us pilots as making that kind of money. No employees at this company will have any sympathy for the pilots if negotiations drag on.
I don't care what other departments think about pilots. I tried being overly nice and sympathetic for years. The bottom line is that everyone has a job to do. My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are. I greet people with a good handshake, a smile, and a large amount of respect. If that's not enough for somebody... ...I'll just do my job and you do yours.
