It’s rich that you say you want to see improvements, and fought for such, but when someone (me) mentions something that’s missing I’m told to shut up and be humble. As another poster said it’s exactly why things won’t improve, because people (you) took it so willingly for so long, that when a new group comes along and wants improvements, we’re seen as arrogant because you suffered silently.
Also funny that you came here to admonish me and got owned by everyone else in the comments.
You are making a lot of assumptions. When most of us were hired at Xjet the pay and contract rules were the best in the regional industry. I had offers from 3 other regionals but none of them came close (including SKW) so I choose Xjet.
Then came age 65, recession and the dark decade. Then we were dismantled by SKW bit by bit. So don’t think we didn’t try to improve what we had. I didn’t vote for concessions in 08, I was furloughed but I went to road shows urging pilots to vote no.
When I returned I became a LEC Rep and fought the BS from ATL. I continued the fight on the contract compliance team. Defending our CBA as ATL attempted reach arounds. I was a adamant critic of the failed JCBA. Helped recall LEC reps who attempted to give us a sale job.
We all fought hard, just be humble, thankful to those who came before you get what you have now. Who helped lay the ground work for future improvements.
