I have found the opposite actually. The guys that are really nervous and constantly critiquing your technique are usually the same ones that are a bit weaker with the stick in their hands. They know they can’t let you get too far out of the envelope before they step in if it turns out you’re a dunce. This is a small minority in my experience. Envoy pilots are generally a pleasure to work with.
That's because they have no experience and are scared shirtless.
