As a former XJT pilot I think I feel with the authority to say the following:

You guys should stop seeing yourselves as United children entitled to more benefits for having served the network for X amount of years versus the ASA guys. The more you see yourselves as ExpressJet pilots only entitled to the same benefits and perks than any other XJT pilot, less likely to be disappointed in the future.

Understand that even if you are partially owned or wholly owned by any mainline partner, unless you are currently enrolled in their payroll, nobody cares about you or how many years you’ve served X, Y or Z mainline network... believe me they don’t care.

If you see yourselves as a one “united” pilot group serving one regional airline only, regardless of origins, mergers, acquisitions or the colors of the tail, you stand a better chance at getting what you need.
