Don't even try to figure this stuff out. I remember a close friend who was at his 1st day at another Brand x. He was getting the Standard new hire welcome aboard, you know the one, where the Chief Pilot says "Welcome aboard and congrats, you are all getting hired at the perfect time. You will all be Capts in 4 years". That was a new hire indoc on Monday. The furlough notices came out the following Friday.

There will no doubt be a flurry of rumors in the coming weeks. Don't believe anything until it happens.
