Don't assume anything when it comes to skipping training because it seems nonsensical in the bigger picture. It could happen, but you could also go to training for two aircraft in the span of a few months. History is filled with silliness - ask some older folks you fly with and almost everyone has a story.


If there's not an easy solution to pulling you from training and putting someone else in that seat, the company could find your training preferable to paying/burning seat fillers...you'd do just fine in that role.
