You can't ignore the culture and on-time mandate that adds pressure to the system. How many times has each one of us personally witnessed a request to release the brake?
But there's no problem... metrics are great. It's those lazy pilots "dwelling" all over the place.
It’s anecdotal but I asked maintenance guys when they would come on the plane this summer and all said they were working massive overtime. One in SLC said he hadn’t had a day off in weeks. But it was all basically voluntary. Sound familiar?
