With the scheduled age 65 retirements as well as earlies added on to those who have retired in the last few months, I’m not sure we will have more pilots for next summer or less. Hopefully more if they actually do hire closer to 1500 for the year........but it’s only about 9 months to next summer....

Yep, AND the logistics of training 1500 new hires on top of training current transitioning pilots seems difficult. We're behind the hiring curve now and I think it'll be hard to catch up. I've been wrong before though!
