It might be too late on some measures. China has already gotten new suppliers for soy - they aren't coming back to the US. same with many US companies that have found new suppliers.
Living in the farm belt, I've made a few friends in that business. These folks have told me that countries that never bought grains from the US before are now buying. If you dig a little deeper, these new buyers just happen to be many of China's new suppliers. Looks like China now has to deal with a middle man and the associated mark ups.
