Unless things have changed in the two months since my last conversation with two pilots on the interview panel, the AApps LORs have no bearing on anything till you show up...I have seen the sheet they use to score the apps, LORs are not on there and haven’t been for several years.
For being vague with sources, you are very demanding in wanting to know the sources of others.
I talked to someone who did application scoring and asked point blank if it was good to get more recommendations because I thought back to a thread where people jumped on a guy for saying he was working on getting 10 internals.
It's interesting that you actually saw the application scoring sheet though, considering how very little information I was able to get and I'm already here simply because they keep it so closely guarded. It's probably not a good idea to brag about that one too much.
Regardless, the answer I got was that on a close call references could make a difference. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to.
