2. Guys on this board, the majority of them being fairly junior have continued to show a sense of entitlement that is beyond belief. This company is not here for you. We’re here for them. If you don’t like the way you’re treated, or the money you make, leave.
With all due respect JJ, I have a hard time being accused of acting entitled when I did not ask for a law to be changed for my benefit. There is a group of guys acting entitled to the left seat for another five years REGARDLESS of the consequences on the other crewmembers (extra five years in F/O seat, penalty for retiring before the retirement age, etc.). If the junior guys are being perceived as acting entitled it is completely being misunderstood. Now I know you will say that this law was coming one way or the other, regardless of your opinion of it. If that is true, why were there groups in D.C. lobbying for the law to change, if the change was so inevitable.

You guys who benefit from this change get to retire under a contract that gives you the option of retiring without penalty at 60 or if you want, work to 65 in a front seat. The younger guys here will now have to fight to keep age 60 the normal retirement age with no penalty. If you dont think FEDEX is going to want a change in that part of the contract your crazy. And the way fedex negotiates we will have to give something up to keep that part of the contract. So you think I (a junior guy), am acting entitled.

I dont think we are acting entitled. I think we are angered by the can of worms that this opens. You get to go fishing with the worms, and I get to clean up the mess.
