Say If my reserve time ends at 1800, earliest I can be released is 1700 (scheduling won’t let me go earlier). If there’s a flight at 1625 to commute home, I’m inside my 2 hour window with nothing scheduled, is this a big no-no? I haven’t done this, just looking to hear your opinions on it.
This would be an easy way to end up with a meeting in the CP office. Although it makes sense, unfortunately that’s not how it works. The luck would be is you’d hop on that flight, and they try to call you to wave your 2 hour call out to try and get a flight out. Even tho you would have said no, you still weren’t contactable during your RAP. There’s some caveats in the contact about being released on your last day, I’d have to look them up to give you the exact details. Regardless, I would not get on that flight.
