I'm sure there are more than a few pilots at mainline now, that were sitting pretty at some high end regionals the last time that happened.
Maybe you can ask some of the AWAC or ACA guys how that worked out....
So much for that entitlement huh?
Competition is great for consumers. ManaAir is the cheapest bidder and why United is rushing us brand new 175s! United cares first about money than safety. Kirby earns the 10 mil dollar salary for his amazing intelligence outsmarting the pilots. This Aviate program is designed to hold back pilots from jumping to mainline at a rapid pace. This allows United to grow the regionals and reduce costs. Albeit there is risk regional pilots will run to the LCCs and hurt United. United will face stiff competition with the LCCs just as the regional pilots have to deal with competitive bids from other regionals. ALPA dropped the ball not pushing for a real flow. You guys screwed up bigly and played into Kirby's long term plan. Kirby is laughing at you. You can't compete against the regional cost structure. You made the regional pilots your enemy.
