There won't be a war. UA will terminate the pass privileges to anyone that denies a jumpseat to a UA or UAX employee. XJT had this happen to them years ago when UA / CO merged and refused to let FA's from UA on the FA jumpseat.
This would never happen with a cockpit JS. If they decided to retaliate against an employee because said employee was following the FAR’s (121.547), management would be going down a very slippery slope of potential lawsuits and FAA consequences. Nonsense.
