During indoc, usually in the second week, you'll get your training dates. The minimum amount of time from indoc to training/sims is 1 week (to study systems), but can often run a little longer, especially when hiring surges. Not sure what the current wait time is, but 2 weeks, give or take, seems fairly typical.
Frame of reference: had friends that interviewed at the beginning of May 2018. They started indoc in January 2019. That was due to the rolling delay for onboarding as the company decided it was too fat on pilots and set itself up for “optimum” staffing for this last summer. We all know how that went.
For the foreseeable future, no one should be waiting 7-ish months from interview to indoc. YMMV.
