Agreed 1000 percent. While UALPA's move was unfortunate, the reaction from SAPA has been completely overblown. Nobody wins jumpseat wars, and all this will do is make lives miserable for pilots of many airlines who are just trying to get to work or go home. Oh, and this happened with precisely zero input from the OO pilot group. All of us were blindsided by this and I've already talked to four captains (out of five) who have no intent to deny any jumpseat to anyone.
