If you think that SkyWest isn't going to get a lot of attention on Whacker Drive (that's where United's suits reside) due to this, I suggest you rethink that thought.
I'd be surprised if someone in the next few Captain charm school classes doesn't ask Oscar and Scott and Bryan and Bebe why we don't reduce our flying with SkyWest when they each come down for their hour with the new Captains.
SkyWest is likely in violation of multiple aspects of their contract with United and if this issue gets enough attention, management can find legal ways to reduce or terminate SkyWest's contract very quickly. And any flying would be easy to replace by next summer's busy flying season.
