If you go 45 down a residential street is it reckless driving? Yup. Is it illegal? Sure is. Will you get a ticket if a cop isn’t there? Nope. This is the same thing. Do FAA inspectors have bigger fish to fry than seeing if JS priority rules in the FOM is being complied with? Absolutely. But, the one day with just the right FAA inspector whose girlfriend’s Pomeranian just pooped on their brand new carpet that morning, you could get busted for operating outside your FOM. Who will stand up for me? The jumpseater that quietly tip toes away from the scene? You guys on this forum? You guys will be like, “Wow that really happened? Sucks to be you, man. Sorry.”
