The jumpseat is the domain of the captain, but I'm going to stand behind my union circumventing the previous agreement and changing the software to force their position. Then I'm going to report that captain so that he can't get hired here. Nice. So you'll weaponize hiring so you can have your way, right when you're going to be retiring nearly a 1000 pilots a year.
Speaking of which, you'll make sure pilots with a spine don't get hired/ You only want pilots who meekly go along with what an outside organization has dictated to you, and punish those who join with their pilot group to stand up for themselves? Hope you guys never need to hold another strike vote.
This is all just stupid. Your union took advantage of the fact that you've sort of acquired part ownership of CommuteAir and XJT to push an agenda that has been tried just about every two years. UALPA talks a good game about elevating "dedicated" regionals in priority, but then changed TOC to DOH, pretty much guaranteeing that most of the pilots in those groups will still lose out. Creating the "must ride" tier is the sneakiest of all, and possibly paves the way for telling us in the future that UAL will go ahead of everyone else.
Have you bothered to read the charts? When Skywest signs nothing will be different on Skywest flights. You’ll be first and all other UA & UAX are TOC. It’s only changing the priority on our UA and our exclusive feed. So who’s trying to circumvent your CAs authority? UAL isn’t.
