Even that was barely an admission... he spun it that he was doing an LOA for all pilots in his situation. They say that after checking the list he’s the only one for the next few years that they checked. His spin is demonstrably false and probably why he deletes everything. They reportedly told him to do it the LOA for all way to at least get something for future pilots in his situation. (There aren’t any) He reportedly refused and demanded they make a one time deal for him. They say he spent three days pressuring the MEC to pass the deal he supposedly had already negotiated for himself with the company. Only his final tirade was in open session. The meeting minutes won’t be available until after the MEC approves them at the next MEC meeting which isn’t until February. They could request a special meeting by teleconference to approve and publish the minutes but they’d need to hear from their pilots that it’s needed.
Call your reps or MEC officers and verify the facts. Then pipe up. If he realizes his lies aren’t holding water hopefully he’ll eventually do the right thing.
Even if he hadn’t done all this; he’ll be 23 in 4.5 months and will get his upgrade anyway. There is an FO running that - unlike him - isn’t planning to upgrade into the E175 and change bases. He should simply say he’s about to upgrade in a few months and since there is an FO running he’s going to withdraw from the election to let an FO be the FO Rep. That’s the right thing to do by itself even without the other issue.
It’s up to you guys. Verify the facts and be sure to vote. It does make a difference. Envoy has some of the best pilots in the industry. Proud to have been a part of such a professional group.
