I think that you are dangerously oversimplifying the elements that constitute slander. when someone "mentions" another professional's name, the first thing that is analyzed is whether the issue is private person, public issue, public person private issue, private/private, public/public. Each one of those scenarios provide a different outcome. The only way to clearly maintain one's safety, is to NOT mention another person's name in a fashion that might undermine that person's professional reputation.

Gentlemen, times are good at the airlines now. An idle mind is the Devil's workshop. This war is not a war, but I do suspect that there will be casualties.

There has been no disruption to the United System integrity and management, at this point, does not deem it prudent to intervene.Smart money says stay out of this one and let the Union and sapa hash it out. I've been a professional Pilot for more than half my life, and served in some sort of leadership role for most of that. I know what a real war looks like, and this is not a real war.

Stay safe and good hunting.
