In this industry there is a big list out there of people who crossed a line. There are exceptions to the rule, but the majority of those did not find employment with top tier companies as a result of their actions. Those who were put on the list for crossing at CAL and UAL have kept their jobs, but they have always been looked down upon. Pilots on that list who eventually had to seek employment elsewhere mostly ended up at ACMI or LCC operations. No HR department or union will openly admit to avoiding applicants on any type of list, they just end up preferring the other applicant. The result is the same. If you anger those who you seek employment from, don’t expect a call.
