We asked “what base should we move to” question about a year ago. Was living in SoCal and the LAX base was coming but the traffic, taxes, costs, and middle class squeeze were getting very old.
We ended up moving to Dallas and are very happy for a multitude of reasons. Cost of living, schools, safe, good climate, lakes, good people.
The logistics of the base are pretty good too. Parking is convenient and reasonable. Traffic obviously depends on where you live but it’s not an issue for me. The trips are so so but whatever, not young and single anyway.
