... I am responsible and do show up rested (as far as you know), but the commuters at this CO save millions of $'s that all go to the bottom line. So the expense, not to mention safety, of having a # of extra sleep rooms for
ANY commuting pilot should be born by the CO. Just a cost of doing business/safety. Or maybe we should
all commute in SUN afternoon and ALL take the sched MON AM D/H's???
And yes, I commute, and no, there are not nearly enough sleep rooms....
First off, if you show up rested, you don't need a sleep room. And I've heard this argument for years of how the commuters save this company so much money. I really don't want to get into that argument on this thread, but I don't think that has anything to do with whether you deserve a sleep room or not. Bottom line is if you are hub turning, the company has an obligation to ofer you a sleep room. But reality is there is now way the company can supply everybody possibly hub turning, everybody possibly deadheading in, everybody that is done but waiting to jumpseat home, and everyone that is done but is not commuting home till the next morning with a rack. Sorry
