ExpressJet is looking to foreign markets for CPA's since they have some restrictions via their contract with Continental that prohibits them from flying into certain airports, offering a variety of costs, and a few other stipulations that really put the screws to their abiltiy to fly as a contract carrier hence their branded service.
This is avoided in foreign markets. They've recently tried deals in Mexico and Europe. You can actually google "ExpressJet Europe" and read some lit on it.
The word from ExpressJet people in the "Ivory Tower" is a deal in '08 using 20 EMB-145 jets feeding major hubs. If ExpressJet is unable to mature a CPA with Qantas, they're planning on taking their branded flying and working on codeshare opportunities.
