JJ, I don't think anyone has a problem with anyone using their vacation and earned sick time except maybe the bean counters! The point is - the bean counters seem to be running things lately and they are the ones controllling the decisions. That being said - who is more productive to the bottom line - the more junior guy with less vacation and a smaller disability sick bank or the guy that is maxed out on both? Personally I would use as much as I could of both, in fact I have been since I was hired here.
No one is asking anyone to give up what they have earned. They are just asking who would be more productive in the bean counters eyes.
