I would make sure you find a CFI that you "click" with. Not necessarily in a buddy-buddy way but in a "I can learn from this person" way.
The reddit r/flying forum was helpful, moreso as I got closer to my checkride.
Don't be afraid to ask "dumb" questions.
If possible, when learning systems it wouldn't hurt to ask your CFI if they could take you over to any planes that might be in maintenance and see what's under the cowl. It really helped things click for me.
