Edit: It will help moving more aircraft but won’t help the poor ramp control who has put planes nose to nose. Not pretty.
A lot of truth to that. They could make that ramp a lot less crowded with a better set of departures and arrivals.
That said, fuel burns would probably go up a bit, so maybe our corporate overlords aren’t too interested. At the same time, our flight ops has us going everywhere at .79, so maybe IDGAF about fuel is in effect.
