Just because the min BLG goes to 48/60 doesn't mean they can't build lines that are between that and the current BLG. If the lowest line was 56 vs 48 then the 13 spread wouldl be 69 (for example) -- I think it gives the company more flexibility.
I understand that there is no max blg. What I was saying is that the way I read the contract, if they lower the min BLG to 48/60 that it has to be the contractual floor for all seats. They can't just say, 'OK the floor on the DC-10 and the 727 is 48/60, but everyone else stays at normal levels.' Seems designed to make sure everyone 'enjoys' in the pain a bit and to make it more difficult to get to a furlough logistically for the company.
