You’re making this too complicated. It doesn’t matter what seat you are in. Longevity is longevity. UAL/CAL and AA/US/AWA are an example. A list will be made that’s strictly longevity. Another strictly status/category. Based on the AA merger this is what it would look like.

Then they’d use a computer to put the lists together and fence off everything bigger than a NB for 15-20 years.
It would be that simple.
I remember at VX quite a few guys were throwing around the AA 85% status category/15% longevity and citing recent SLI examples with 85/15 as an almost “done deal” of how the AS/VX SLI would shake out.
The reality ended up being much further than expectation for a lot of people.
