I left NJA for a major and never looked back. The flying might be more interesting at NJA but I fly enough interesting stuff in my spare time that I could care less about flying into some podunk middle of nowhere airport in a Phenom. I care about money, time off, job security, retirement, and QOL on the road, and a major airline checks those boxes over NJA.

At both, sometimes there is a wait to get seated (upgrade). You assumed the upgrade was going to be fast and hedged your bets in 2015. When it didn’t happen, you went elsewhere.
How is the upgrade coming now that you started over? It will be much less than that by the time the 13 year wait SICs upgrade at current rate.
That would but you upgrade about just at 4 years from now had you stayed. Possibly sooner if the number is increased following next years training shift to AQP. Never know.
