My study of contracts has shown me that while sometimes contracts are agreed upon early (DAL CK12) other times they are after the amendable date (NW 1996-1998, DAL 2000-2001).
While I agree it's not all going to be wrapped up by end of this year, I just don't see it going into 2021/2022 like some others.
Even though this is a pilots market, the company is still in a win win position. Between AA, United, Delta and all the LCC. Coming from regionals, part 135, even military and going to a LCC or Major is a step forward in a regional or recently retired military pilot. These companies know at least 99% of regional pilots want to go to major and whats the point of rushing into a better contract? The current contract is far better than any regional out there.
I suppose the only reason Delta may want to get one done is, they prefer the Tier 1 candidates. So I guess I dont really know??
