I have actually told jumpseaters not to apply at Delta after listening to them beotch about Delta not paying for hotels....as I said and then you reiterated....chump change in the scheme of an overall career and a very limited perspective

BTW...the time to negotiate good stuff is when you don't need it. Things like furlough protection when hiring is going great guns, PS when the company is not making money etc. The cost of negotiating capital is minimal in these situations. The negotiators have to be forward thinkers
