Regardless of starting day 1, It’s the lack of year over year increase that causes us to fall behind almost every regional.
SkyWest, Horizon, ExpressJet and many more have a 401k match that reflects and then exceeds ours after just one year or less of service.
So while it’s not low, it is towards the below average end compared to a lot of the regional airlines.
Are the regionals who we want to be competing with anyway?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about getting 16% contribution with $0 out of pocket like at the majors. All I’m saying is that ours is not on the low end whatsoever compared to all companies out there except the majors. Most regionals, including Skywest, Envoy and PSA are the same if not lower than JSX’s 50% of 8%. It would require for you to be on property over 5-8 years in average compares to others to get above what we get starting Day 1. The only exception is Endeavor which matches 100% up to 12.5%.
