Both are relatively easy to get right out of training, SFB more so than PIE. About 35 slots went to new hires in the last few months for both bases combined so there will most likely be some shuffling around in the next few bids. As far as upgrade in SFB/PIE, I would guess at least 15+ years for a new hire today, while it could be about 1/4 that time in a new base. Both of those bases are pretty close to maxing out logistically, with no overnights there is no space to park additional SFB/PIE based planes at night. Those bases will continue to grow but with outside turns from newer bases up north.

If you want to upgrade in Orlando much sooner, take a look at NK, they are planning to grow their MCO base from 150 crews to 500-600 in the next few years with that new large order of planes they just inked.
