It's actually in the contract that you sign in the beginning, so it's not a big surprise. For the refund, dual given in a SEL is $175, and in the twins is $350. And every hour you fly at ATP is dual given. The high altitude endorsement is a flat $2500, and you automatically lose $1500 for the non-refundable deposit. Plus they charge you $750 for the box of books they send you. So you might have only gone halfway through the program but only get about 25%-30% of your money back, and when we're talking about $67k, that is alot of money down the drain just for deciding to go somewhere else.
Sounds like another reason not to attend. You should lose little to no money if you decide to take your business elsewhere. I paid in stages when I got my ratings. $2-3K at a time.
