Just a generalization.
If you’re just starting out you should probably hope for the -145. Aside from you no one cares what type of turbofan you fly. They care about the number of turbofan hours you have and if you made it through training without a hitch.
Get into a simple airplane. Learn how to fly. Get some hours and flying in/out of EWR and ORD in the winter under your belt. Then, if you get to where you can hold a good schedule in the -175 bid that to get another type rating. Upgrade into what you can hold first.
