EWR has great flying. I live in Bucks County, PA and love it here. I don’t have guns, but one can own them easily and it’s fun to go to the range. Overall pretty moderate place politically which is my speed. Career progression probably only second to SFO. Fun to be able to go to Philly and NYC for culture but also have the good elements of rural life.

CPO office has gotten better and better there over the years to the point where now every pilot and staff member is great to work with.

Downsides- EWR ground stops and ATC delays all summer, and having to drive to LGA for some trips until you’re senior enough to avoid it.
