Honestly EWR crews will be much more enjoyable overall to fly with, there’s a lot of great trip variety and unfortunately IAD still has a number of the meet in the weather room and brief endlessly about our 40 min flight. I had two good friends there on the 737, not a lot of fun was had.
So CRM missed the boat with you... apparently you’d rather hurry off to the walk around rather than be a part of the crew during the planning of your flight. It really doesn’t matter if it’s 40 minutes or 14 hours. You bring something to the process whether you think so or not.
