If we grow the fleet by 18 airplanes in a given year, there is a corresponding number of pilots that need to be hired. Doing simple math, I can already see that if we hire 48 a month at the beginning of the year, we will stop hiring during the summer again. (Like every summer). I don't understand why you come on this forum to spread negativity that's often not based on reality. I post here when I can answer people's questions and be helpful. I think that showing people that 48/ month of new hires is way beyond the average needed is helpful information.
I would think the 48 a month might be for the Thomas Cook aircraft? So it may come back down after that. I remember them saying they were aligning the deliveries to a more level schedule across the year so they wouldn’t have to start and stop hiring through the year.
