The thing that is "normal" about it is that it has happened for the past several years and in that time frame the seniority list has doubled. More people are at this company who have experienced a slow down or halt in hiring over the summer than those who haven't.
There are also those who were here before the hiring and experienced several years of no hiring at all.
Point is, it's not apologist. It's reality. It's how Frontier/Indigo want to operate the airline. I don't really care if they choose to have these tidal hiring patterns as long as the end numbers are there. Ask those in the know, the company has already stated they do not intend to hire next June-Aug/Sept.
2019 started with the news of two new bases and 350 hires. Then it goes to zero. It's the same every year.
The one thing you can count on is a bunch of changes to manuals for the sake of change with no real experience. That hasn't slowed down.
